The travel industry has its share of ups and downs with sales slowing down at certain points during the year. There is a way that you can increase sales and even loyalty from customers to your travel agency. You can even entice your agents into selling more packages or trips by introducing sales incentives in your business plan.

Here are some tips for creating an incentive that can increase sales at your travel agency.

Offer Group Trips And Outings

Many businesses will offer group trips or outings to their employees in order to reward them for a job well done. They can also be used as team-building exercises and as a way to check out new hotels, cities, and activities so your sales team can promote them better to existing or future customers.

You could also offer your customers discounts or special packages for group trips if they are loyal or returning customers. You could create a package with special perks you add in as a thank you for booking through your agency.

Create A Points-Based Reward Program

If you have a lot of repeat customers, you can create a points-based reward incentive for them. You could give a certain amount of points to them depending on how much they spend with your agency. You could do a certain number of points for any airline tickets or rail tickets they purchase. You could also do points for car rentals through your agency, and larger amounts for full vacations and package deals.

This will be a great incentive for business customers who frequently book travel through your company. It can also be a way to entice casual travelers to use your services more often.

You could also offer a points-based reward incentive program to your employees too. The more trips they sell to customers, the more points they earn that they can use for their own travel or other rewards that you come up with.

Offer Gift Cards

You could offer gift cards to your employees that they earn dependant on how many sales they make in a given month or over a certain period of time. It could also depend on the price of each of the trips they have booked or how many extras or addons they sold to each trip.

The cards could be for local restaurants, hotels, or activities they can enjoy. Or, it could be for an amount that would cover the cost of a trip for the whole family.

Gift card rewards could also be given to customers who frequently book their trips through your agency as well. It can be given as a thank you for their loyalty, and you could offer certain gift cards during the year to new customers to entice them to come back.
