Things To Do In NYC Once The Coronavirus Quarantine Period Is Over

The entire country is on high alert due to the coronavirus. New York City, in particular, is under severe restrictions, which are impacting many restaurants, entertainment centers, and other places popular with tourists. However, this is all temporary, and, eventually, the quarantine period will be lifted around the country and things will return to normal. When that does happen, people are going to go back to planning travel and will be returning to places like New York for vacation. This article is going to cover some of the popular places which are currently either shut down or on limited access during the coronavirus period but which will be open in the future.

See The Sights From The New Hudson Yards Development

One of the newest tourist destinations in Manhattan is the Hudson Yards. This is a group of modern buildings and attractions that were erected on the site of former rail yards and other old school commercial enterprises. The new location is a mega-tourist draw. There are fancy shopping centers located in ultra-modern buildings. Not only are there fun shopping and dining options, but there are museum-quality outdoor exhibits. Some of these exhibits allow tourists to climb up and see the skyline of Manhattan and even walk out on observation decks which overlook the city from skyscraper heights.

Visit The Wonderful Museums On Museum Mile

One of the classic tourism hot spots are the museums on 5th Avenue. This is the strip of the city known as Museum Mile. There are amazing art museums such as the Met, and also historical museums such as the Museum of Natural History. It's a fantastic way to spend the day when you're in Manhattan. Make sure to check out the exhibits at the different museums online so that you know where you want to go when you arrive. If you happen to be visiting a friend who lives in New York, then make sure to have them get the passes. Some museums offer free access for residents as long as they have an IDNYC card

Watch A Broadway Show

Broadway is one of the most affected places during the coronavirus quarantine period. So, it's likely that tourists are not going to be able to see the shows until things go back to normal. However, once things do get better and Broadway opens back up, then it's the perfect time to see some Broadway shows. It is very likely that you will be able to get some very affordable tickets once New York City travel and tourism is back full steam.

Be on the lookout for things to do in cities around the country.
